Chandigarh, Oct 08: Congress ministers today criticised Akali Dal chief Prakash Singh Badal for charging that chief minister Amarinder Singh conspired to kill saying the allegations were "outbursts of a sick mind" as he was "frustrated and demoralised". "Frustrated and demoralised, Badal who suffered from guilt complex, had all through been running with the hare and hunting with hounds," ten cabinet colleagues in the Amarinder Singh ministry said in a joint statement here.
"These are outbursts of a sick mind unrepentent about his acts of omission and commission during his long rule for full five years," they said. Badal's reported rejection of government proposal to beef up his personal security and his seeking protection from only the central government law enforcing agencies was "unprecedented and Badal's assertions wrong on facts and allegations unfounded," the ministers said.
Wishing Badal a long life, the ministers said that his delayed naming of former SGPC chief G S Tohra as the third conspirator to plot his killing had exposed the seriousness of charge.
Among the signatories to the statement were Jagjit Singh, Lal Singh, Khushal Behl, Partap Singh Bajwa, Tej Parkash Singh, Avtar Henry, Gurchet Singh Bhullar And Sardool Singh. Bureau Report
