President tells industrialists to e prepared for competition
Ludhiana, Sept 04: President A P J Abdul Kalam today asked industrialists to be prepared for the global competition as without such a preparation it would be difficult to progress in the prevailing business environment and the era of economic reforms.
Ludhiana, Sept 04: President A P J Abdul Kalam today asked industrialists to be prepared for the global competition as without such a preparation it would be difficult to progress in the prevailing business environment and the era of economic reforms.
"In today's environment your aim has to be different and you should be globally competitive and to obtain this agriculture and industrial sector should make themselves prepared for which leadership qualities should be improved," the President told a gathering of industrialists on the occasion of silver jubilee celebrations of Ludhiana Management Association (LMV).
In the agriculture sector, agro-machinery and agro-food processing field should be adopted for the progress and new skills and equipment should be adopted for the development, he said while praising the role of Punjab in building the nation even after facing decade-long terrorism.
"It is our vision to see India as a developed country by 2020 and until and unless we are economically strengthened, this vision cannot be fulfilled and competitiveness is must
for overall economic development" he said.
Giving details about his blue print of developed India, Kalam said strengthened economy could be powered by knowledge generated through technology and resources management, which could further be empowered by revenues through volume of repeated sales for which customer loyalty and customer delight a must.
