Vellore, May 26: L Ganesan, president, MDMK, and Gingee Ramachandran, former Union Minister of State for Finance, today called on party leader Vaiko who is currently lodged in the Central Prison here after being arrested under Pota. Later, Ramachandran told reporters "people know about my integrity during my 40 years of public service. I have not done any mistake. I resigned only with the intention of not embarrassing the Prime Minister".

He had put in his papers last week in the wake of the arrest of his personal assistant for allegedly accepting bribe for fixing an official's transfer.
Regarding transfers, he said, "I have nothing to do with that. Such files did not come to me. They go to the board members only".

Ganesan said, "All that the press writes cannot be taken as full truth. Let law take its own course.”
