New Delhi, July 21: It is common knowledge that everyone turns to God in times of need and who better to understand this than Hrithik Roshan who desperately needs a hit.
Despite trying every trick to click at the box office, his career has not picked up after the mega success of his debut film, Kaho Na Pyar Hai. Following a spate of successive flops, the self-confessed god fearing hero is said to seek divine blessings for his ready to release Koi Mil Gaya.
It is learnt that he visited Vaishnav Devi temple with wife Suzzanne Khan along with Sonali Bendre, who too needs some divine luck to continue afloat in Bollywood.
On reaching Jammu, Hrithik left no opportunity to regale various Gods in numerous temples, especially the Raghunath Mandir in Jammu.
Later, he left for Katra to walk the 12 km stretch from Katra to the holy shrine chanting Jai Mata Di amidst tight security for the final darshan in the holy cave. At the shrine he was mobbed to sign autographs.
Looking satisfied after his visit, Hrithik said, "I was planning to visit the holy shrine of mata di for a long time, but Ma ka bulawa to ab aaya hai aur is liye mujhe yaha aana pada hai." (I've been wanting to come here for long, but it is only now that the Goddess had called for me).
Asked if his act of pilgrimage is out of desperation for a hit, he says, "I am a very religious person and I am also a believer in God. Everyone needs God's blessings to fulfil his work. Therefore I'm no exception. But let me tell you I am not desperate at all. I am very confident about the success of Koi Mil Gaya. Hits and flops are a part of the business. Even those who were super stars of the Hindi film industry, like Amitabh ji and Rajesh Khanna ji, have produced series of flops even when they were at the peak of their careers."
