Patna, Aug 11: Lamenting breakdown of discipline in almost all the political parties including the Samata Party, senior Samata leader and railway minister Nitish Kumar today said there is need for the parties to introspect and strictly enforce discipline among party workers.
"All the parties appear to have digressed from their paths...Party leaders are levelling allegations against other
parties...Even Samata Party is not untouched," Kumar told a
convention of Yuva Samata here.
He appealed to Samata national president B B Krishna Rao and Bihar party chief Raghunath Jha to detect the ills and enforce strict discipline in the party.
Kumar also decried caste factor playing a vital role in the parties and emphasised on the need to end this trend and concentrate on developmental issues. He said inter-caste marriage should be encouraged to break this malady in the society and demanded "reservation in jobs for those going for inter-caste marriages."
B B Krishna Rao, in his address, said caste-based politics was a roadblock to development and stressed on changing the mindset of youths from casteism. Bureau Report
