Srinagar, July 16: Militants shot dead two persons, including a woman, and attacked a security picket in Kashmir valley since last night, official sources said today. Unidentified militants killed two civilians, Mohammad Shafi Lone and Khatija Begum, inside their homes at Guzarbal village in Bandipora area of Baramulla district in north Kashmir in the wee hours today, the sources said. The motive behind the murders was not immediately known, they said, adding a hunt had been launched to nab the ultras. Unidentified militants lobbed a grenade on a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) picket at chini chowk in Anantnag district of south Kashmir last night, but no one was hurt in the attack, the sources said.
