Ahmedabad, Sept 9: A police complaint has been registered against Gujarat Minister for Cow Protection and Pilgrimage Centres Prabhatsinh Chauhan for allegedly slapping a railway station master. Station master of Nando-Dehgam railway station Arun Kumar registered a complaint with the Kalupur railway station after the minister allegedly slapped him yesterday when the latter had to wait as a level crossing was closed, officials said here today.

The incident occurred when Chauhan was on his way to Gandhinagar in his car and had to wait at a level crossing that closed for around nine minutes to let two trains pass through. Chauhan allegedly marched to the railway station and after inquiring who the official on duty was, slapped Kumar, Kalupur police officials said.

The minister, however, was unavailable for comment as he was in the state Assembly attending the first day of the four-day session that began this morning, sources added.
