Pune, Feb 12: Prime accused in the multi-crore fake stamp papers scam Abdul Karim Telgi has disclosed during narco-analysis test that he had obtained five perforating machines with the connivance of India Security Press (ISP) personnel which helped him produce the counterfeit stamps to ''perfection''. Telgi revealed during the narco analysis test that though his stamps were as good as the originals, the only flaw was the perforation. He solved this problem by obtaining five perforation machines with ''inside help'' from the ISP in managing the tenders for sale of scrap. This was disclosed in the narco-analysis report submitted recently by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) to a special court here along with a supplementary chargesheet.
Telgi has named one Bengali Singh as having helped him in securing the perforating machines from the ISP. Many employees of the ISP were in close contact with Telgi and were providing him material for printing bogus stamps, the report states.
Telgi also revealed that the special paper required for these stamps was originally supplied from the ISP itself. Although the narco report does not mention how the special paper was smuggled out of the ISP, it states that a person named Kulte was helping Telgi.
Another person named Ram Prasad Reddy had disclosed the specifications of the special papers to Telgi. Both Kulte and Reddy are co-accused in the case and been arrested by the SIT.
Another employee of the ISP, whose name has been left blank by the SIT in its report, had provided the details of the original dye and ink used for the stamps. The same person helped Telgi obtain negatives and designs of original stamps, the report says.
SIT sources here informed that the investigation into the involvement of ISP personnel is an ongoing process and hence many details disclosed by Telgi during the narco test have been withheld.
