Patna, Oct 07: Security measures would be further tightened around Bihar Chief Minister Rabri Devi and RJD supremo Laloo Prasad Yadav after the outlawed outfit People's War (PW) issued a threat to stop ongoing operations against their members or face "dire consequences".
Official sources said all-possible steps would be taken
to ensure security of the chief minister and her family
members. While Rabri Devi enjoys 'Z' security, Laloo Prasad
Yadav comes under 'Z Plus' security.
Besides, the state legislature has already passed a bill providing adequate security to the CM and family members, the sources said.
Meanwhile, buoyed after its attempt on lives of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandra Babu Naidu's and his colleagues, PW renewed its threat to Chief Minister Rabri Devi, Laloo Prasad Yadav and Jharkhand CM to stop operations against them or else "face consequences like Andhra Pradesh CM suffered recently".
A press release issued by Sunil, secretary of Bihar-Jharkhand joint committee of PW, said the attack on Naidu was "not a terrorist strike".
"It was a special operation planned and executed by the specially trained people's guerilla army,” Sunil said.
Accusing Laloo-Rabri regime and Jharkhand of adopting "repressive" measures against the PW activists, the outfit pledged to "avenge" the killing of all its members in police operations. Bureau Report
