Bangalore, Oct 23: 105 golfers teed off yesterday and as many as 26 of them were foreign entrants. Persistent rains made for a challenging round of golf.
Another Australian, Alex Cleave, runner-up in the last edition of the tournament in New Zealand after leading for the first two days, got off to a comparitively slow start and was in the joint-second position along with New Zealand's Ron Sisson. They returned with cards of three-over 73.
Vikramjit Singh returned with the best card among the Indians with a six-over 76. With two days of competition remaining the senior golfers are looking to some sunshine and scorching golf.
