Five Maoists killed in Nepal
Kathmandu, Aug 11: Five Maoists were today killed and two army personnel injured in an encounter in western Nepal, security officials said.
Kathmandu, Aug 11: Five Maoists were today killed and two army personnel injured in an encounter in western Nepal, security officials said.
The officials said a group of armed Maoists attacked an Army patrolling team in Masuria village of Kailali district forcing the Army to open fire.
In the retaliatory firing, the rebels were killed, they said adding two Army personnel, including a major was injured in the cross firing.
Three machine guns were recovered from the slain rebels.
In a separate incident, three persons were seriously injured when a group of Maoists detonated a pressure cooker bomb at Narayan municipality in Dailekh district.
