New Delhi, Aug 14: In a move to honour the memory of mother Teresa, Delhi Lt Governor Vijai Kapoor today said the Wellingdon Crescent Road in the Lutyen's Bunglow zone would be renamed as Mother Teresa Crescent. Responding to the request by an inter-faith group comprising the archbishop of Delhi Vincent M Concessao, Pir Khwaza Afzal Nizami Sajjada Nashin, Sardar Satnam Singh UPpal of Punjabi Chetna Manch and Lama Lobzang, who met him today, the LG has directed the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) to rename the Wellingdon crescent road after Mother Teresa. The renaming ceremony would coincide with Teresa's beatification on October 19. Bureau Report
