Hajipur, Sept 07: Bihar Chief Minister Rabri Devi today instructed the Vaishali district administration to carry on comprehensive relief work for thousands of flood-affected people of her Raghopur constituency and adjoining villages of Bihar's Vaishali district. Minister of State for Energy Shyam Razak read a letter of the chief minister warning officials that she would not tolerate any lacunae in relief and rehabilitation work in Raghopur and other villages, official sources said.

Earlier, RJD supremo Laloo Prasad Yadav accompanied by Razak, party legislators Jay Prakash Yadav and Ramkripal Yadav reviewed the flood situation in Saraipur and Terasia panchayat of Raghopur and adjoining villages with the officials here. Over two dozen villages were inundated by the rising Gandak river in these villages.

Crops worth over Rs one crore have been destroyed in two panchayat of Raghopur and other villages, official sources said.
