Jenin, West Bank, Apr 09: An explosion in a Palestinian school in the northern west bank wounded dozens of school children today, Palestinian security officials said.

The blast occurred in a school in the village of Al-Jarba, 10 kilometres south of Jenin, the officials said.
A Palestinian security official said it appeared that one of the students had found a hand grenade and been playing with it when it went off in a classroom. Three of the injured were in serious condition, they said.
