Islamabad, July 25: The family of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif have ruled out having a deal with President Pervez Musharraf, saying none of them including brother Shahbaz Sharif favoured a compromise with the "military dictator". "Deal with Musharraf government is out of question," spokesman of Sharif family and central information secretary of Pakistan Muslim League (N) Muhammad Siddiqueul Farooque said.
He said Nawaz Sharif had rejected the deal when on the first night of his arrest, a few army officials approached him.
"The army officials had offered him freedom against the dissolution of the parliament. But Sharif had flatly refused to do so," Farooque told 'The Nation' newspaper.
He said the entire family would soon return to Islamabad to work for restoration of democracy in the country.

Commenting on reports about a possible poll alliance with Benazir Bhutto's Pakistan People's Party (PPP), he said both were major political parties in the country and endeavored for the restoration of the constitution, democracy and fundamental rights through the platform of Alliance for Restoration of Democracy (ARD).
