Chennai, Dec 20: DMK today decided to withdraw its ministers from the Vajpayee government, but will continue to extend support from outside. The DMK said it will continue in the National Democratic Alliance extending outside support as long as the combine "did not deviate from the national agenda of governance", a resolution passed at a high power meeting of the party, chaired by its president M Karunanidhi, said.

DMK president M Karunanidhi announced this to mediapersons after a meeting of the party`s high-level strategy committee here.
The meeting decided to pull out T R Baalu (Environment and Forests Minister) and A Raja (Health and Family Welfare Minister) from the Vajpayee cabinet, he said.

The two are expected to give in their resignations tomorrow.

Meanwhile, DMK has said that it will decide its strategy on voting in favour or against a no confidence motion against the Union government in the Lok Sabha, when such a motion was moved in the House.
"We will take a decision when the issue comes up," DMK president M Karunanidhi told reporters after the party`s high level committee today decided to withdraw its ministers from the BJP-led NDA ministry.
