Bihar ministers violating model code of conduct: BJP
Patna, Oct 30: BJP today accused Bihar ministers of blatant violation of model code of conduct already in force in view of the November 20 bye-elections to Barachatti, Sitamarhi and Fatuha Assembly constituencies in the state and urged the election commission to take effective steps to prevent them from influencing voters in these constituencies.

A party delegation led by chief whip in state assembly Navin Kishore Prasad Sinha called on the secretary to the commission K R Prasad this morning and demanded steps for ensuring free and fair election.
Later Sinha told reporters that a notification to hold bye-poll in the three constituencies had already been issued and process for filing of nomination started but state ministers were engaged in giving assurances.
The ministers are sitting at the RJD office and trying to influence the voters of three constituencies by giving them assurances for works which was a blatant violation of model code of conduct.
Sinha also alleged large scale irregularities in selection of booths and preparation of voters' lists.
