Punjab to setup 4 new engineering colleges
Chandigarh, Mar 06: Punjab government will set up four new engineering colleges at Patiala, Hoshiarpur, Ropar and Mohali by upgrading the existing facilities in government polytechnics at these places, an official spokesman said today.

These colleges, to be managed under the auspices of the
Punjab Council of Technical Education and Entrepreneurial
Development, would start functioning from the academic
session beginning in July, 2003, the spokesman said.
Out of the four colleges, which would be operating on self-sustaining and financially-viable basis, the one at Patiala would be exclusively for girl students with hostel facilities, he added. Bureau Report
