Kolkata, Sept 02: A high level meeting of West Bengal government officials with the chief secretary was today held to work out a solution to problems in introducing CAS in the state. According to secretariat sources, the meeting discussed the 'broad parametres' for implementation of CAS in West Bengal, starting with South 24-Parganas district. Chief Minister Buddhadev Bhattacharjee, who yesterday said that some 'grey areas' on CAS implementation still persisted even after his government received clarifications from the Centre, refused to comment on the meeting. Besides the chief secretary Sourin Roy, others who attended the meeting were Home Secretary Amit Kiran Deb Information and Cultural Affairs Secretary Basudeb Banerjee and Kolkata Police Commissioner Sujoy Chakraborty, South 24- Parganas District Magistrate Vivek Kumar, besides other senior officials.

Later in the day, the chief secretary is scheduled to hold a meeting with cable operators. Bureau Report
