New Delhi, May 16: With an eye on the growing mobile market in India, LG today said it plans to launch six new cellular phone models in the country over the next four months.
"We will launch three new colour phone models and three camera models in the next four months," Praveen Valecha, product group head (mobile phones) of the company, told reporters here. He said the phones would be in the range of Rs 6000 to Rs 18000. With the launch of the new models, LG would have a total of 12 GSM cellphone models in the country.
"We launched our phones in November 2003, and are now aiming to corner a five per cent market share by the end of this year," he said.
LG's current product portfolio has five colour phones and one blue-light phone.

The company forayed into GSM segment in the country with the launch of two high-end handset models - G5300 and G7030 - priced at Rs 13,490 and Rs 18,990 respectively.

The G7100 is a camera phone with 270-degree spin screen and a slide mounted VGA camera, and is priced at Rs 25,990, while G5400 supports MMS and GPRS.

The G1500 is the blue-light model with a price tag of Rs 5,990.
