Jaipur, June 12: The Rajasthan government today denied the charge that it had failed to fully utilise over Rs 1000 crores sanctioned under the Centrally sponsored schemes and said it would welcome any Central team to inquire into the matter. "The charges that most of the central funds were lying unused or they were being siphoned off to other schemes are unfounded,” an official release said here today.
The state government's denial came in response to Union Minister of State for Rural Development, Annasaheb M K Patil's remarks here on June 10 that the state had under-utilised funds of at least eight centrally sponsored schemes.

The progress reports of all the schemes being implemented by the Union Rural Development Ministry were sent to the Centre every month and there had been effective monitoring at the state level, the release said.
All Centrally sponsored schemes are implemented as per the guidelines issued by the Centre and the state had been releasing its share to the schemes on time, it said.
