Ajay Devgn`s `Shivaay` and Karan Johar`s `Ae Dil Hai Mushkil` - Box Office battle on the anvil

This Diwali, Ajay Devgn and Karan Johar are set to clash at the Box Office and it would certainly be interesting to see who emerges more successful.

Mumbai: This will probably be this year’s biggest Box Office clash! Ajay Devgn’s directorial project – Shivaay – and Karan Johar’s  - Ae Dil Hai Mushkil – starring Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma besides Pakistani actor Fawad Khan, will be release on October 28!

It’s a known fact that Ajay doesn’t share a great equation with Karan. Moreover, post self-proclaimed film critic Kamaal R Khan’s (KRK) allegations first on KJo and subsequently on Ajay widened the gap between the two industry heavyweights. And now, this Diwali, the two are set to clash at the Box Office and it would certainly be interesting to see who emerges more successful.

The noteworthy point about the clash is that the two films belong to two different genres. Johar’s ADHM is a complex romantic tale while Ajay’s Shivaay is an action thriller with a slice of family emotions.

Johar’s ADHM has been in controversy for having Pakistani actor Fawad on board. Moreover, reports suggest that both Aishwarya and Anushka essay Pakistani residents in the film.

Raj Thackeray’s Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) have threatened to disrupt the screening of the film and this may hamper the film’s release.

Speculations were rife that Ajay’s film too had a Pakistani artist but the actor-director denied the news.

Nonetheless, a Box Office battle is certainly on the anvil and we wonder who would walk with creamier portion of the cake – Ajay or Karan.
