According to a report in DNA, Amy was offered the role of Samantha Myers, from the Bill Gates Foundation, who comes to India to fund schools.

Though Amy loved the role that she was offered, she couldn’t proceed with it.

Talking about why she couldn’t take it up, Amy said, “I was really looking forward to doing Half Girlfriend. But I had to opt out of the film. I am not doing it anymore.”

“I have already given my dates to this British film which I start shooting from September. So I could not do Half Girlfriend,” DNA quoted her as saying.
