New Delhi: Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s 'Bajirao Mastani' has again surface for all the wrong reasons. The movie might have earned accolades, but the trouble has knocked the door all over again.

The movie starring Ranveer Singh as Maratha Peshwa Bajirao, Deepika Padukone as Mastani and Priyanka Chopra as Kashibai has been slammed by a notice by the Madhya Pradesh government for the makers not having showed the script to the descendants of the royal family.


According to a report in Times of India, one Tamkeen Ali Bahadur, a descendant of the family, has complained that the movie has caused irreparable loss to the social image of his family by distorting facts. Neither the censor board showed the movie, nor the script to the family.


People associated with the film and the release, including director Sanjay Leela Bhansali, novel writer N S Inamdar, actor Ranveer Singh, actress Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra have been asked by to furnish an explanation to Jabalpur bench within four weeks.
