`Bajirao Mastani` vs `Dilwale`: Which one will outshine the other?
Tough competition between `Bajirao Mastani` and `Dilwale` - who do you think will win?
New Delhi: Although we are quite aware that the stars of 'Bajirao Mastani' and 'Dilwale' – the two biggies of 2015, are not looking to compete with each other, we know for a fact that competition is quite inevitable.
These days, filmmakers are not willing to shift dates even if they know that another big project will go on floors the same day.
The same is going to happen on December 18, 2015 – when Rohit Shetty's romantic action 'Dilwale' starring Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Varun Dhawan, Kriti Shanon and Sanjay Leela Bhansali's period drama 'Bajirao Mastani' starring Ranveer Singh, Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone – will hit the theatres.
So having said that, which of the two do you think will be the winner?
Tough, isn't it?
Here's a look at the two trailers:
Dilwale:
Bajirao Mastani:
Trailer:
As one can see, 'Dilwale' is full of spirit and vigour. Rohit Shetty has embarked on a delightful journey of love, action and comedy in this movie.
The trailer of Bhansali's 'Bajirao Mastani', on the other hand, is packed with vignettes of romance, betrayal, lavish palaces and battle. Although the song 'Pinga' faced controversy recently, the movie is sailing through quite smoothly. How it turns out, only time can tell.

Cast:
In 'Dilwale', while on one hand we have yesteryear hit jodi SRK-Kajol coming back to the screen together after five years, we also have the cool Varun Dhawan and Kriti Shanon to sizzle up the screen with their romance.
In 'Bajirao Mastani' we have the ravishing Deepika Padukone along with hunk Ranveer Singh and the very talented Priyanka Chopra. PeeCee's versatility is evident here, from 'Quantico's FBI agent she will be getting into the skin of Kashibai in this period drama.
Direction:
Rohit Shetty exploits his unique knack of quirk and action in most of his films – a quality that makes his films special in their own right.
Whereas Bhansali zeroes in on human emotions, grandeur and larger-than-life sets and decorations.
To be honest, both directors have their own style and it reflects in their movies.

Music:
The music of both the films have already amassed a lot of attention for their charm and style. 'Bajirao Mastani's music is quintessentially ethnic and regal – while 'Dilwale's music rides high on pep and romance.
As can be seen, the success of the films will greatly depend on the genres the audience prefers - whether in story, music, or in cast. For a movie-enthusiast, however, it's good to have two treats on the same day. Whose fate turns out to be brighter, only time and luck can say!
