Plot details for the new one are being kept under wraps, but the 43-year-old artist will be the movie's chief villain, a head of security for a female crime lord, said The Hollywood Reporter.

The first "Wick" saw Reeves as an ex-hitman, who is forced to dole out some retribution when gangsters break into his home, beat him up and kill his dog. He re-enters the tangled underworld of assassins he left behind and shows everyone that he is still not to be trifled with.

Common, who appeared in "Entourage" and Liam Neeson action movie "Run All Night", will next be seen in Warner Bros' high-profile comic book movie, "Suicide Squad", with Will Smith and Jared Leto.
