According to a report in Bollywoodlife.com, Deepika has been roped in to play the leading lady in ‘Gustakhiyan’, a film based on the lives of legendary lyricist Sahir Ludhianvi and literature giant Amrita Pritam.


Produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, ‘Gustakhiyan’ will retell the story of Sahir and Amrita on the silverscreen.


Priyanka Chopra was earlier believed to have been considered for the role, but Deepika seems to have bagged the project.
