The 59-year-old "Thelma & Louise" actress is excited to share the screen space with the 44-year-old "Mad Men" star, reported People magazine.

"Jon is actually playing my father! It is an interesting story that has a sci-fi element to it. I'm so excited to work with him and was so happy when he won the Emmy. He is such a good actor," Davis said.

Adaptation of last year's Pulitzer prize-nominated play by Jordan Harrison, the plot follows an ageing violinist named Marjorie, who, at age 85, finds that her memory is failing her.

Filmmaker Michael Almereyda will helm the project that also stars Tim Robbins.
