New Delhi: Actress-turned-filmmaker Geethu Mohandas's National Award winning film 'Liar's Dice' has been selected as India's entry to the prestigious Academy Awards.

According to a report published in a leading showbiz magazine, the decision to roll 'Liar's Dice' into the Oscar's foreign language award category was announced today by the Film Federation of India.


The film is about a young woman who takes a road trip from the Himalyan foothills to Delhi, with her daughter to find her missing husband. An Army deserter, played by none other than critically acclaimed actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui comes to her rescue.


Besides, the two National Awards, the film has also garnered a lot of appreciation from across the world.
