Magnolia Pictures picks up Steve Jobs documentary
Magnolia Pictures has acquired North American rights to `Steve Jobs: The Man in the Machine`, a new documentary from director Alex Gibney.
Los Angeles: Magnolia Pictures has acquired North American rights to "Steve Jobs: The Man in the Machine", a new documentary from director Alex Gibney.
The documentary recently had its world premiere at the SXSW Film Festival, said the Hollywood Reporter.
It film offers a portrait of the Apple co-founder and was produced by Viva Van Loock and Gibney and executive produced for CNN Films by Vinnie Malhotra and Amy Entelis.
"Once again, Alex Gibney takes on an iconic figure and masterfully reveals the complexities and motivations behind the Steve Jobs facade that has inspired the world," Magnolia president Eamonn Bowles said.
This will be the seventh film directed by Gibney to be distributed by Magnolia, which has acquired the theatrical, VOD and home entertainment rights. CNN Films has the television broadcast distribution rights.
