Marco Pierre White wants Michael Fassbender to play him

London: Celebrity chef Marco Pierre White says actor Michael Fassbender is the first option to play his role in the feature film adaptation of his memoir, "The Devil in the Kitchen."

"The Martian" helmer Ridley Scott is overseeing the project, reported Digital Spy.

"It's being made by Ridley Scott. This is true. Michael Fassbender has first option on the script. Nicholas Drake is writing the script and Anand Tucker is directing.

I have to spend time with the scriptwriter to begin with, so we've got until the end of the year to write it.Michael is one of the best," he said.

The 53-year-old chef is known for his contributions to contemporary British cuisine.
