Richmond told Billboard that they definitely wanted to see some kind of shape by the end of the summer. the BBC reported.

Richmond continued that that 60 or 70 percent of that will go away when they start bringing in real singers and actors and they will do a lot of rewriting.

He added that the most difficult part of the process was determining what their best song ideas were and what dialogues were supposed to be included.

Lindsay Lohan, Rachel McAdams, Amanda Seyfried and Lacey Chabert starred in the lead of 2004 'Mean Girls' as a cliquey gang of mean high-school girls.
