Karachi: Pakistani star Shahroz Sabzwari is set to make his Bollywood debut with Riingo Banerjee's upcoming film 'Luv Story.'

While talking to the Dawn, the 29-year-old actor said that it was producer Shamik Basu who approached him after watching his Hum TV Awards performance and a few pictures, and offered to launch him into Bollywood.


It was "obviously great news" as going to Bollywood was a monumental opportunity," he added.


Sabzwari, who would be coming to India in early January for the project, said that he was also excited to work with the Bengali director as it was his Bollywood debut as well, and he had immense respect for Bengali film industry, which had produced brilliant filmmakers like Satyajit Ray.


The film, which also stars Riya Sen, Zarina Wahab, Aryann, Bidita Beg and Mukesh Tiwari among others, revolves around 3 friends - Luv (Sabzwari), Madan Chetri (Aryann) and Kushali (Beg), who grow up in an orphanage in Kalimpong and the dynamics of their relationships. Wahab's character adopts Luv after her son's death.
