The film was supposed to be released on April 7, 2017. However, the date has been pushed to April 21, 2017.

According to a report in Miss Malini, the release date of Sonakshi's upcoming venture 'Noor' has been changed because Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif starrer 'Jagga Jasoos' is also slated to release on the same date as April 7, 2017.

Hence, to avoid box-office clash, Sona's drama release date is pushed ahead.

The story is based on the life of a Pakistani journalist-writer Noor's misadventures and love life as she navigates her way through Mumbai.
