New Delhi: Bollywood director Sujoy Ghosh's  short film `Ahalya` starring Radhika Apte has earned applause from the film fraternity members and audiences alike.

The 14-minute short thriller, has been getting rave reviews from all quarters and has hit over 3 million views on YouTube in less than a week.

Ghosh's Kolkata-set Bengali film has taken a leaf out of an Indian mythology, in which Ahalya, the wife of the sage Gautama Maharishi, was seduced by Indra and cursed by her husband for infidelity.


The 'Kahaani' helmer has given a modern twist to the story, starring Radhika Apte and Tota Roy Chowdhury, besides legendary Bengali film actor Soumitra Chatterjee.
