The tour of the Quay Street studios originally opened in April 2014 for a six-month period, but was extended due to public demand, reported Digital Spy.

The attraction, which was only ever planned for a limited time, will let its final visitors through the doors at the end of the year, before the site is handed back to its new owners for redevelopment.

Juliana Delaney - CEO of Continuum Attractions, which runs the tour - said: "We are incredibly proud of the unique experience we have been able to deliver for hundreds of thousands of visitors from across the world.

"This December we'll be saying farewell to something extraordinarily special and are truly privileged in operating the attraction to have played a part in making this unique opportunity available for the public to enjoy."

The attraction has had half a million visitors since opening last year. All remaining tickets have now been released and are available via Ticketmaster.
