The 51-year-old star wrote an emotional tribute to her late husband, who commit suicide in 1994, questioning 'What on earth' he was thinking when he killed himself, aged 27.

Writing alongside a photo of the Nirvana frontman with the tot in 1992, she posted on Instagram, "Makes me feel so sad. Our baby is all grown up now. Jesus Kurt look at her face, what on earth were you thinking.. God I miss you, we all miss you #family #memories #turnbacktime#lovehim (sic)."

In a previous post, the Hole frontwoman described the "Heart-Shaped Box" singer, who she married in 1992, as her "greatest love".

She wrote, "My greatest love and our precious Bean #missyou #memories (sic)." A documentary about the late star titled "Montage of Heck" was released earlier this year.
