Vienna: A cast of international designers, influencers, partners and press joined luxury crystal brand Swarovski at its headquarters in Wattens, Austria, to celebrate its 120th anniversary and the re-opening of Swarovski Kristallwelten, a crystal museum built by the brand.

Attendees at the anniversary night on Tuesday were treated to a surprise performance by British singer FKA Twigs who wore a stunning Swarovski crystal embellished outfit designed by Swarovski Collective duo Rodarte for their Spring/Summer 2015 collection, read a statement.


Members of the Swarovski family hosted the guests, including designers Jean Paul Gaultier, Peter Pilotto and Christopher De Vos, Mary Katrantzou, Iris van Herpen, Steven Kolb, Stephen Webster, Shaun Leane.


The evening's live soundtrack was provided by Swarovski Musik Wattens, the Tyrolean musical ensemble established by Daniel Swarovski for and from his employees in 1900.


Markus Langes-Swarovski, member of the Swarovski executive board, said: "We're celebrating 120 years of Swarovski and we're also celebrating this magnificent reconstruction of our Swarovski Kristallwelten experience."


"With a blend of the traditional and the avant-garde, we are showcasing that crystal is still, and will remain in the future, a creative material in its own right. If Daniel Swarovski were here now, he would be very proud".
