New Delhi: They came, they rocked and they left a message for fans in India - the London born, bred and based electronica band Rudimental will be back for more as they feel India is the upcoming destination for live music.

"We have done a festival here with Emerge. We think it's definitely an upcoming scene for Live music and we would like to come up here more," the band said in an email interview.


The drum and beat band, a global platinum selling quatret created ripples in the international music circuit with its album "Home" which debuted in number 1 postion in the UK and was nominated for a Mercury Prize in 2013.


They won several awards including the Brit Award, and the Mobo Award for Best Album.


"We have seen a lot of bands coming in here and think it is an exciting time for India as the festival theme markets is growing. It helps to capture new kind of music," a spokesperson for the band said.


Back in 2013, the prospects of live music industry in the country had a lot of catching up to do with respect to international standards, say experts.


"We have seen a lot of British bands coming in performing in India. We think such performances are making a difference and we feel it's definitely an upcoming scene for live music," says a band member.


The quatret is best known for playing a medley of genres including drum and bass, liquid funk, jungle, breakbeat and soul.
