The singer, who has lent his voice to popular songs like "Mauja Hi Mauja", "Subha Hone Na De" and "Gandi Baat", recently recorded a song with sufi singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan.

"I will sing lots of melody songs. I recently sang a song with Rahat saab. People would be curious to know how the baadshah of sufi will sing a song with me. But in the future, I will sing a lot of sufi and romantic tracks," Mika told PTI.

The 38-year-old singer launched his debut album in 1998 and went on to record several tracks before making it big in Bollywood with songs like "Mauja Hi Mauja", "Ganpat" and "Singh is King".

Mika says it took him a lot of patience to reach this stage unlike many aspiring singers, who today directly want to start with an A-list composer like A R Rahman.

"I had patience to reach the stage where I am today. I didn't have any apprehensions that I won't work with him, or not sing a small song. But today, the young singers who are coming are directly aiming to sing for AR Rahman, who I got to work with in 2015. "They say they directly want to work with him. They should instead focus on doing everything, including small or big films. Today their aim is bigger."

Mika will be seen mentoring aspiring singers on the Zee TV show "Sa Re Ga Ma Pa". The singer said, "I had decided that I want to judge a reality show. Initially I was against it, because I thought these singers disappear after reality shows. But then I met some of the singers who are doing well otherwise. They have live shows, leading a great life. That is when I thought I would come on board."

Mika will be seen sharing the judging panel with Bollywood composers Pritam and Sajid-Wajid. The show airs on March 26.
