Beijing, Nov 05: Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf today met with China's top military leaders, including chairman of the Central Military Commission Jiang Zemin, and discussed bilateral ties as well as the situation in South Asia.
Musharraf, on a three-day state visit to China, also met with Chinese Defence Minister Cao Gangchuan and discussed issues of common concern.
On Monday, Musharraf had official talks with Chinese President and general secretary of the ruling Communist Party of China, Hu Jintao and signed a first-ever joint declaration on bilateral ties.
Yesterday, he met with Chinese premier Wen Jiabao parliamentary chief Wu Bangguo as well as the head of the top advisory body, Jia Qinglin. The new Chinese leadership assured Musharraf that Beijing would make further efforts to cement the Sino-Pakistani 'all weather' relationship despite the twist and turns in international relations.
