Udaipur (South Tripura), June 10: Tripura Governor Dinesh Nandan Sahaya has appealed to insurgents to shun violence and join the mainstream to build a prosperous state.
Udaipur (South Tripura), June 10: Tripura Governor Dinesh Nandan Sahaya has appealed to insurgents to shun violence and join the mainstream to build a prosperous state.
"A section of misguided youths have chosen wrong path to achieve a false goal but it will ultimately lead them nowhere," he said here at a function yesterday.
Sahaya said, "I appeal to them to abandon jungle life and join the mainstream to ensure that peace and prosperity prevails in the state."
Sahaya assumed office on June 2 last replacing Lt Gen (Retd) K M Seth. Earlier he was the governor of Chhatisgarh.
Banned insurgent outfits national liberation front of Tripura and All Tripura Tiger Force and their fringe groups are active in Tripura.
