Kathmandu, Nov 21: Issues related to Saarc and bilateral cooperation will figure in the discussions Nepalese Prime Minister Surya Bahadur Thapa will hold with Indian leaders during his visit to New Delhi next week. According to official sources, Thapa, who arrives in India on November 23, is scheduled to meet President A P J Abdul Kalam and Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee as well as other important leaders. During the meetings, matters relating to Saarc, bilateral issues and mutual cooperation will figure, official sources said. Besides India, Thapa is also visiting Sri Lanka, Bhutan and Pakistan in his capacity as the outgoing chairman of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation.
This will be a consultation meeting of the Prime Minister with the member Saarc countries in connection with the forthcoming 12th Saarc summit to be held in Islamabad from January four to six, 2004.
