Shinde inaugurates second Asian film festival
Mumbai, Aug 02: Screening of Bengali film `Aamar Bhuvan`, which captures the concept that life is beautiful yet not without complexities, marked the inauguration of the second Asian film festival here today.

The festival, organised by Asian Film Foundation in
collaboration with Cinefan, was inaugurated by Maharashtra
Chief Minister Sushikumar Shinde.
Veteran film-makers Mrinal Sen and Yash Chopra were also felicitated on the occasion for their contribution to the film industry.
Lauding the film makers, Shinde said that the government would leave no stone unturned to ensure continued support to the film industry. He also welcomed the setting up of multiplexes in the state.
Over 20 films from various Asian countries, including Taiwan, China, Turkey, Indonesia and Japan would be screened at the festival.
