Meerut, June 20: Three unidentified youths looted Rs.9.75 lakhs at gunpoint from the cooperative bank's branch at Daurala here, police said today. The youths locked the bank staff and two clients inside the strong room of the bank before decamping with the money yesterday, Superintendent of Police D K Choudhury said. Soon after the robbery, one of the clients, locked in the strong room, informed his family members through his mobile phone, who in turn informed the police about the incident, he said.

Police immediately rushed to the bank and released the bank staff.

No one has been arrested so far in connection with the robbery and police are yet to make any headway in the investigations, Choudhury said.
