J&K govt to set up a modern reception centre at Qazigund
Srinagar, July 06: With Kashmir once again becoming the most sought after tourist destination, Jammu and Kashmir government has decided to set up a modern reception cum information centre at Qazigund on Srinagar-Jammu national highway.

"The multi facility reception-cum-information centre at Lovidoora is a part of the plan to develop Qazigund as the gateway of Kashmir," Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed told reporters last evening.
The Chief Minister said the proposed Centre would provide excellent boarding and lodging facilities to the tourists apart from providing information about various hot spots in the Valley.
Sayeed also asked the officers to set up a filing station and railway reservation counter at the Centre. He said similar Centre would also be constructed across Pir Panjal in Jammu division.
The Chief Minister during his tour of south Kashmir took stock of various development works going on in Anantnag, Bijibehara, Jablipora and many other places and announced a series of new projects.
Accompanied by minister of state for parliamentary affairs, Abdul Rehman Vederi, legislators and district development commissioner the Chief Minister finalized the site for 300-bedded Mirza Afzal Beg Hospital in Anantnag. After paying obeisance at Hazrat Baba Naseerbus Din Ghazi's shrine Sayeed also visited his ancestral house.
