Oct 31: This show season was a really wonderful one - we spent far too much money but it was seriously fun.
HOT NEW NAMES: We've bought SOPHIA KOKOSALAKI and NINA RICCI for the first time next season. Sophia Kokosalaki has been stocked in Browns Focus before but this is the first time either label has made it across the road.
ADAM JONES:Is one of the strongest new names. We have been buying his collections for some time but he is relatively new. Having worked on knitwear for Dior with John Galliano he is now producing stunning pieces that you can hardly believe are KNITWEAR and he really excelled himself this season.
MUST-HAVES:One of the greatest events of the entire season was MISSONI's 40th anniversary party. It was incredibly moving and a really stunning collection that was full of essential buys. I wanted all of it. ACCESSORIES:Everybody was fighting for the strongest accessories this season but I have a feeling that the status BAGS won't be around much longer. I think people will be looking more for a uniquely beautiful bag rather than one splashed with logos and so obviously recognisable. We'll be stocking the bags from Fendi,Christian Dior and Galliano for the new season, but I haven't decided which one I shall be carrying yet.
PRINTS were stronger than ever in all four cities and there was a mass of CHIFFON, which is far less diaphanous than last summer. This time we have to layer it up in complicated twists, pleats and frills.
