Tata Open ups prize money to 15 lakhs

prize money of Rs 10 lakh.
B Muthuraman, managing director of Tata Steel, told newsmen that the increased purse would also confer the tournament with the status of a 'major' on the Hero Honda PGA Indian golf tour.
The winner of the tournament will take home a cheque of Rs 2.43 lakh in the four-day main event, which will be preceded by a gala Pro-Am on December 17, he said.
