New Delhi, Nov 23: Front-ranking Chinese leader Jia Qinglin arrived here today on a five-day visit hoping that the China-India constructive partnership will move forward in a sound and steady manner. Jia, a fourth-generation leader, said in a statement at the Delhi airport that his visit was aimed at enhancing mutual trust and understanding and cementing friendship and cooperation between the two countries. Observing that friendship between the people of the two countries had an early root, he said "China cherishes such traditional friendship and is committed to developing good neighbourly, friendly and mutually-beneficial cooperation with India on the basis of the five principles of peaceful co-existence".
