Jaipur, Nov 09: The state council of Communist Party of India (CPI) today released its list of 15 candidates for the December 01 assembly polls in Rajasthan. There would be no attempt to form a third front but the seat adjustment process was underway with the CPI-M, JD (S), NCP and Samajwadi Party, party national secretary Atul Kumar Anjan told reporters while releasing the list here.
Claiming that the third front parties at the Centre had proved futile, Anjan said all like-minded parties had decided to have seat adjustments in the left bastions like Sikar, Bikaner, Nagaur, Alwar, Hanumangarh, Sriganganagar, and Ajmer.
The party would oppose the NDA government's anti-labour policies including economic reforms, post-liberalisation, and disinvestment that left to large scale unemployment, he said.
On the Vajpayee Cabinet's decision on new economic zone policy, he said the CPI would oppose this in Parliament as the NDA government ignored opposition MPs, and violated the industrial employment standing order of 1946.
If the existing law was neglected, there would be no social and job security for labourers who would be hired on contract under the world bank prescription, he said.
The party would break the "ego" of the congress and uproot the communal forces of the BJP, he alleged.
On the TN Assembly decision on The Hindu scribes, he said it was a gross violation of freedom of press, and attack on the fourth pillar of democracy adding, his party would fight it out tooth and nail if the order was not taken back by the TN Assembly.
